What do the race proceeds go?

All race proceeds will help Hephzibah Ministries serve children and families in Macon and surrounding areas. Hephzibah Ministries, currently serves children abused, abandoned, and neglected. What time is my race at?
Our 7k competitive waves start @ 9:00 and 9:20 respectively.
Our 5k waves begin at 10:00am and run every 20 minutes, with the final wave leaving the starting line promptly at 11:20am.  This year we have 5 waves available for 5k runners: (10:00, 10:20, 10:40, 11:00 & 11:20).

You may select your preferred wave time during registration.

When is the 1k mini-mudder?!
The mini-mudder begins at approximately 1:00 pm (following the completion of all adult participants on the course). Parents may (and are encouraged to) run for free with their participating child(ren) in the 1k course (you don’t need to register, unless you’d like a cool t-shirt)!

I can’t make the race. Can I get a refund?

No refunds will be issued at this time; however, race participant transfers are available upon request. Please contact the Mud Run Director at maconmudrun@gmail.com .

Is there a cost for parking?

Off-site parking is free. On campus parking is available for $5.00. Spaces are limited.

Can race packets be picked up before the race?

Yes. Please check back for more information on picking up your race packets.

Will you have showers/changing area after I have finished the race?

Yes, we will have gender specific privacy changing tents. There will also be showers for you to clean off. No, the showers are not heated. We also kindly ask that you discard all unwanted clothing/food/trash items into the GIANT trash bin provided next to the showering area (and not on our property) T

Can I bring my dog?

Dogs are welcome at the race expo but are NOT allowed on the course. All dogs must be on a 6ft leash or shorter.

What obstacles will I have to complete?

You will have to trench through countless mud pits. You will also have to balance, climb hills, trench through creeks, ponds, crawl through tunnels, etc. Bypasses are available for obstacles with deep water. To get specifics, sign up and see for yourself.

Is there an age limit?

Participants ages 3-11 should register for the Mini Mud. Children ages 8 and under MUST be accompanied by an adult. Parents are encouraged to participate with children for the Mini Mud at no extra cost. Children ages 12 and up should participate in the 5k/7k. If your child is younger than 12 and would like to participate in the 5k/7k, please contact the race director for more information.

Can I come if I just want to spectate?
Yes, all are welcome to spectate, free of charge.

Where should I park?

There will be limited parking at the race site. You are welcome to drop off friends at the race site and then park at one of our other parking locations. You can choose to park at Tabernacle Baptist Church, located next to our property at 6611 Zebulon Road, Macon, GA 31220. There will be a trail in the back of the property that will lead to the race site.

What should I wear?

You should wear something that you don’t mind throwing away at the end of the race. It’s best to wear clothes/shoes that won’t absorb and hold water, as this will slow you down. Leave your jewelry at home! We will have a place for you to change after your run, so be sure to bring a change of clothes.

How many people are on a team?

As many as you want!

How do I get to the race site?

The race site is located .25 miles off of the Zebulon Rd exit on I-475 on the grounds of Hephzibah Children’s Home (6601 Zebulon Road Macon, GA 31220).

Do you have the date set for next year’s Macon Mud Run?
